Carmen Amedori is an award-winning journalist with experience working in high-demand, fast-paced environments. She has extensive experience in many areas, particularly the political sphere. During her career, Ms. Amedori has proven her ability to succeed in a variety of capacities; among her many skills she is able to draft crisp, clean press releases and establish rapport with the press corps; handle town meetings; reach out to constituents; and draft speeches.

Carmen Amedori was an outstanding journalist with the Baltimore Sun and the Carroll County Times in Maryland. She received many accolades in her journalistic career, including awards from the Maryland-District of Columbia Press Association, Sigma Delta Chi Society of Professional Journalists, and the School Bell Awards from the Maryland Department of Education.

Ms. Amedori's intellect and keen people skills were particularly noticeable while filling those positions. Carmen's intellect, charm, people skills, and charisma were undeniable, so following her time in the world of Journalism, she entered politics. She began her climb by becoming elected to the Maryland House of Delegates and the office of Legislator, representing the 5th Legislative District of Carroll County, Maryland. She proved popular with her constituents and was elected twice, serving a total of 6 years. She held many roles as a legislator, including a seat on the House Judiciary Committee; being a Ranking Member, and being designated the Deputy Minority Leader.

Carmen has since graduated in her duties, receiving a Gubernatorial Appointment to the Maryland Parole Commission (MPC) by The Honorable Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr. In this role, she is charged with the task of serving as Commissioner, determining matters of parole. Carmen Amedori continually oversees matters pertaining to parole release, as MPC is the only judicial releasing authority in the State of Maryland. Notably, Carmen Amedori is the first Republican appointed to the MPC in 36 years.
